PL4C Intiative in the Miramichi and Kent Region of New Brunswick
Project Description
Physical Literacy for Communities (PL4C) Miramichi and Kent County is a group of partners working together from health, education, recreation, sport, as well as other relevant sectors to advance physical literacy by:
supporting schools, recreation organizations and others in addressing specific, local barriers to healthy active living, and
building community capacity through training and education that supports the development of physical literacy.
This project intentionally supports capacity-building for Indigenous communities and newcomer populations within each community, so that their youth can be meaningfully engaged.

Project Reach
This project aims to reach the City of Miramichi and the County of Kent, New Brunswick. The partner table is working together to involve schools, recreation and sport clubs, public health programs, family and community support programs, and the unique needs of Indigenous and multicultural populations.
